Skyn

6 products

SKYN condoms have built a serious reputation for feeling closer to nothing than most latex alternatives on the market. Made from SKYN's proprietary non-latex material, they're genuinely thinner and softer than the standard options you'll find at a pharmacy, which makes a real difference if latex sensitivity is something you deal with. The fit runs snug without being restrictive, and the lubrication out of the box is better than average. We stock the full SKYN range here, from their classic originals to the extra-thin and large-fit versions, with 1-2 day discreet delivery across the Nordics.

Most condoms are made from natural rubber latex. Skyn uses SKYNFEEL, a synthetic polyisoprene that mimics the stretch and softness of latex without the proteins that trigger allergic reactions. The practical difference is real: the material conducts body heat more readily, so the barrier feels less like a barrier. That's not marketing copy, it's a material property of polyisoprene versus rubber.

Latex allergies affect a meaningful share of the population, and for those people, the usual alternatives (polyurethane condoms) tend to feel stiffer and transmit less sensation. Polyisoprene sits closer to latex in terms of elasticity, which is why Skyn became the go-to recommendation for latex-sensitive users who didn't want to compromise on feel.

One thing worth knowing: polyisoprene is still incompatible with oil-based lubricants, just like latex. Stick to water-based or silicone-based lube with these.

The lineup covers a few distinct use cases, and the differences between them are more than just packaging.

  • Skyn Condoms Original 10-pack, the baseline. Standard fit, standard thickness for the material. A solid starting point if you haven't tried polyisoprene before.
  • Skyn Condoms Elite 10-pack, thinner than the Original. Same SKYNFEEL material, reduced wall thickness. Noticeably different if sensation is your priority.
  • Skyn Condoms Large 10-pack, wider fit. Comfort matters for fit as much as feel, and a condom that's too tight is both uncomfortable and more likely to fail. If standard sizing feels restrictive, this is the one to try.
  • Skyn Condoms Intense Feel 10-pack, textured on the outside for added stimulation. The ribbing and dots are on the exterior, so the effect is primarily for the partner.
  • Skyn Condoms Extra Lube 10-pack, pre-lubricated more generously than the standard variants. Useful if dryness is a recurring issue or if you prefer not to apply additional lube separately.
  • Skyn Close Feel 10-pack, a closer, more form-fitting cut. Designed to reduce slippage for those who find standard condoms feel loose.

If you're genuinely unsure where to start, the Original or Elite are the most popular. The Elite is the one we'd suggest if your main concern is sensation; the Large if fit is the issue.

Condom fit is underrated. A condom that's too tight is uncomfortable and more prone to breaking; one that's too loose can slip. Width (nominal width, measured flat) matters more than length for most people, length is rarely the limiting factor.

Skyn's standard variants have a nominal width in the typical range for most European sizing. The Large variant runs wider. If you've had issues with standard condoms feeling constrictive, the Large is a straightforward fix rather than a luxury upgrade.

The Close Feel variant goes the other direction, a snugger cut for people who find standard condoms feel baggy or move around during use. Both ends of the fit spectrum are covered.

Polyisoprene degrades with heat and UV exposure, same as latex. Don't store condoms in a wallet for months, in a car glove compartment, or anywhere that gets consistently warm. A bedside drawer is fine. A bathroom cabinet is fine. The back pocket of jeans you wear every day is not.

Check the expiry date. It sounds obvious, but expired condoms are a real failure point, the material loses elasticity over time and becomes more brittle. Skyn condoms carry a printed expiry date on each individual wrapper.

Open the wrapper carefully. Teeth and sharp nails are the most common cause of small tears that go unnoticed. Tear from the notch, not across the foil.

Yes. Skyn condoms are made from SKYNFEEL polyisoprene, which contains none of the natural rubber latex proteins that cause latex allergies. They are CE-marked and meet the same safety standards as latex condoms. If you have a confirmed latex allergy, polyisoprene condoms like Skyn are one of the recommended alternatives alongside polyurethane options.
Water-based and silicone-based lubricants are both compatible with Skyn condoms. Oil-based lubricants, including coconut oil, baby oil, and petroleum jelly, degrade polyisoprene just as they degrade latex, so avoid those. If you're unsure about a specific product, check whether it's water-based or silicone-based before using it with any condom.
Both use the same SKYNFEEL polyisoprene material. The Elite is thinner, which most users describe as a more natural feel. The Original is the standard thickness for the range. If you're new to Skyn, either works well; if you've tried the Original and want more sensation, the Elite is the logical next step.
