Cats as a category covers a surprisingly broad range of products. From playful cat-ear accessories and feline-themed costume pieces to cat-tail plugs and other animal-play items popular in the BDSM and roleplay community, this section brings together products that share one common thread: the cat aesthetic. It's a niche that has grown steadily, and for good reason, the designs tend to be visually striking, and the quality from reputable brands holds up well.

If you're new to this corner of the shop, the range can feel a little scattered at first. Some shoppers come here specifically for pet-play gear; others are after something more decorative or costume-oriented. Both are valid, and the product grid above reflects that mix.

This is a question that comes up more than you'd expect. Cat-themed accessories, think headbands with ears, collars with bell charms, or patterned lingerie, are primarily aesthetic. They're worn for fun, for photos, or as part of a costume. Pet play, on the other hand, is a form of roleplay that sits firmly within BDSM culture, where one partner takes on an animal persona (in this case, a cat) and the dynamic between partners shifts accordingly.

The gear overlaps, but the intent differs. A cat-ear headband can be purely decorative or part of a deeper scene, that's entirely up to you. What matters is that you're choosing products made from body-safe materials, especially for anything worn close to the skin for extended periods.

Silicone is the go-to material for plugs and insertable items in this category. It's non-porous, easy to clean, and holds up to proper toy cleaner or a gentle soap wash. Avoid anything described vaguely as "jelly" or "rubber" without further material specification, those tend to be porous and harder to sanitise properly.

The single most useful question to ask yourself before buying is: what's the primary use? Decorative pieces like collars and ear sets have different quality benchmarks than functional items. For collars, look at the hardware, cheap clasps break, and a collar that snaps mid-scene is both annoying and potentially unsafe if it's being used in any kind of restraint context.

For tail plugs specifically, size matters more than most people admit upfront. If you're new to anal play, start smaller than you think you need to. The taper and base design are what make a plug comfortable for extended wear, and a well-designed base is non-negotiable for safety. Reputable brands engineer these details properly; budget options often cut corners here.

Sizing up gradually over multiple sessions is genuinely better than pushing through discomfort. That's not a disclaimer, it's just how the body works.

Silicone items can be boiled or run through a dishwasher (top rack, no detergent) if they have no electronic components. For everything else, a dedicated toy cleaner is the safest bet. Wipe down fabric accessories like ear headbands and collars according to the care label, most aren't machine washable, and heat can warp plastic components.

Store silicone pieces separately from other silicone toys. Two silicone items stored in direct contact can degrade each other's surface over time, which is one of those details that doesn't come up until something feels tacky six months later.

Metal components on collars and accessories should be dried thoroughly after any cleaning to prevent rust or tarnishing, particularly on lower-cost hardware.

Yes, many items in the cats category are beginner-friendly. Decorative accessories like ear headbands and collars have no learning curve at all. For functional items like tail plugs, look for smaller sizes with a tapered design and a flared base, these are the safest starting point for anyone new to anal play.

Quality tail plugs are typically made from body-safe silicone, stainless steel, or glass for the insertable portion, with the tail itself made from faux fur or similar synthetic materials. Always check the product description for material details and avoid items listed only as "rubber" or "jelly" without further specification.
