Since its launch in 1967, RFSU Profil has been Sweden's bestselling condom — a position it holds because it gets the fundamentals right. This is a straightforward, well-designed condom that fits most people comfortably and performs reliably. The smooth latex feels natural, and the contoured shape sits securely without feeling restrictive.

Profil is designed around European standard sizing, which means it suits the majority of users without needing to shop for specialty fits. The transparent latex is pre-lubricated with a silicone-based lubricant that feels smooth without being overly slippery.

Size & Fit

Profil measures 180 mm in length and 53 mm in nominal width (measured flat). The thickness is 0.06 mm — standard for natural latex condoms, balancing durability with sensation.

The 53 mm width corresponds to European standard sizing, which accommodates most penis sizes comfortably. If you've used condoms from major European brands without fit issues, Profil will likely suit you well. The contoured design tapers slightly under the glans, where sensitivity is highest, creating a secure fit that doesn't shift during use.

Feel & Design

The defining feature of Profil is its contoured shape just below the head. This gentle taper creates a snug fit exactly where the condom needs to stay in place, while the rest of the shaft maintains a comfortable width. The result is a secure feel without constriction.

The smooth surface has no textures or ribs — this is a condom designed for natural sensation rather than added stimulation. The 0.06 mm thickness allows warmth and pressure to transfer clearly, while the pre-applied lubricant reduces friction without creating excess slip.

Material & Safety

Profil is made from natural rubber latex and meets European safety standards for barrier contraception. CE-marked and manufactured to ISO 4074 standards, it provides protection against pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections when used correctly.

Natural latex is an effective barrier material but has specific care requirements. Store condoms away from heat and direct sunlight — extreme temperatures degrade latex over time. Check the expiry date printed on each wrapper; RFSU condoms have a five-year shelf life from manufacture.

The lubricant is silicone-based and compatible with water-based lubricants. Never use oil-based products (massage oils, petroleum jelly, body lotions) with latex condoms — oils break down the material and compromise protection.

Good to Know

If you're allergic to latex, Profil is not suitable. RFSU offers latex-free alternatives in their range.

The pre-applied lubricant is sufficient for most users, but adding extra water-based or silicone-based lubricant can increase comfort, especially during longer sessions. More lubrication reduces friction, which in turn reduces the risk of breakage.

Each condom is individually wrapped and electronically tested during manufacture. Check the wrapper for damage before use — any tears or punctures mean the condom should be discarded.

Condoms are single-use only. Never reuse a condom, and use a new one if you switch between different types of sex.
