Mystim Pure Vibes
Pure Vibes is an analog electrostimulation unit built for control and exploration. Two independent channels mean you can connect two electro accessories at the same time—run both at gentle settings to learn the sensation, or combine a steady current in one area with pulsing waves in another. Each channel has its own intensity dial, pulse width adjustment, and frequency control, so you're not locked into a single pattern across both outputs.
The unit comes with three preset programs—gentle, moderate, and intense—but the real flexibility is in manual mode, where you shape the sensation yourself. This is a tactile system: knobs and dials you turn with your fingers, not a screen with preset names. If you've tried app-controlled e-stim and found it fussy, this is the opposite. Turn it on, adjust until it feels right, and leave it there.
The belt clip rotates 360°, so cables don't twist or fray when you move. The connectors are standard 2mm pins, compatible with most Mystim accessories and many third-party electro products. This is a system you can expand over time—start with one accessory, add another when you're ready.
What's in the Kit
The Pure Vibes box contains the control unit, two connector cables (one for each channel), a belt clip, and instructions in multiple languages. It does not include electrodes or accessories—those are sold separately.
You'll need at least one compatible accessory to use this unit. We recommend starting with ElectraPads (adhesive electrode pads for external body areas like thighs, buttocks, or lower abdomen) or ElectraLoops (adjustable conductive loops that fit around the penis or testicles). If you're curious about internal stimulation, the Rodeo Robin probe works with Pure Vibes and allows dual stimulation when paired with external pads on the second channel.
You'll also need conductive gel for accessories that require direct skin contact, such as pads or loops. Water-based lubricant doesn't conduct electricity effectively—use a gel specifically labelled for electro play. Apply a thin, even layer to both the accessory surface and your skin to ensure smooth, consistent sensation.
How the Intensity Feels
Electrostimulation is not vibration. It's an electric current that causes your muscles to contract and release rhythmically, creating a tingling, pulsing, or throbbing sensation depending on frequency and intensity. At low settings, it feels like pins-and-needles or a gentle buzzing just under the skin. At moderate settings, you'll feel distinct pulses—your muscles twitch slightly in time with the current. At high settings, the contractions become firm and insistent, almost like a deep massage but sharper.
Start with the intensity dial at its lowest position. Turn the unit on, then slowly increase intensity until you feel a faint tingling. Stay there for a minute or two—your body needs time to adjust. Most first-time users find their comfortable range somewhere in the lower third of the dial. Push too high too fast and the sensation turns from pleasure to discomfort instantly. If that happens, turn the dial back down immediately or switch the unit off.
The three preset programs offer different rhythm patterns. The gentle program delivers steady, even pulses—predictable and easy to get used to. The moderate program varies pulse width, creating a wave-like sensation that builds and recedes. The intense program combines short, sharp pulses with longer intervals, which some users find more stimulating and others find too erratic. Try all three at low intensity first, then decide which pattern suits you before increasing power.
Pulse width and frequency controls add another layer. Narrow pulse width creates a sharp, focused sensation concentrated at the electrode contact point. Wider pulse width feels more diffuse and spreads sensation across a broader area. Low frequency (under 20 Hz) produces slow, rhythmic contractions—almost hypnotic. Higher frequency (50+ Hz) feels faster and more buzzy, closer to vibration but still distinctly electrical.
Where You Can Use It
Electrostimulation accessories are designed for use below the waist only. Never place electrodes on or above the chest, neck, or head. Avoid the heart area entirely—electrical current near the heart can cause dangerous arrhythmia, even at low settings. This is not a precaution for extreme use; it applies to every session, every time.
Safe placement areas include outer and inner thighs, buttocks, lower abdomen, genitals (penis, testicles, vulva, vaginal or anal canal with appropriate internal probes), and perineum. Place electrodes on the same side of the body or symmetrically—never position them so current passes through your torso diagonally or vertically.
Do not use electrostimulation if you have a pacemaker, are pregnant, have epilepsy, or have any heart condition. Do not use on broken skin, open wounds, or areas with reduced sensation. If you have a copper IUD, avoid internal vaginal electrostimulation.
For first sessions, use adhesive pads on your outer thighs—this lets you learn what the sensation feels like in a low-risk area with plenty of muscle mass. Once you're comfortable with intensity control, progress to more sensitive areas like the perineum or genitals. Internal probes require more care: use plenty of conductive gel, insert slowly, and start at the lowest intensity setting even if you've used external electrodes before. Internal tissue is more sensitive and responds to lower currents.
Safety & Control
Electrostimulation requires active attention. Do not fall asleep with the unit running. Do not use under the influence of alcohol or anything that impairs your reaction time. You need to be able to turn the unit off immediately if sensation becomes uncomfortable.
Each channel operates independently, which means you must check the intensity dial for both channels before turning the unit on. If Channel 2's dial is turned up high and you've only adjusted Channel 1, you'll get an unpleasant surprise the moment you switch on. Make it a habit: both dials to zero, power on, then adjust each channel slowly while observing the sensation.
The 360° rotating connectors are a practical safety feature. Cables that twist and fray create weak points where connections fail mid-session or short out. The rotating housing prevents torque from transferring to the cable itself, which keeps connections stable and extends the life of both cables and accessories.
If you feel any sharp, burning, or painful sensation—not just intense pleasure, but actual pain—reduce intensity immediately or switch the unit off. Pain means current is concentrated unevenly, often due to insufficient conductive gel, poor electrode contact, or intensity set too high for that particular area. Do not try to push through it. Adjust, reapply gel, or reposition the accessory, then start again at a lower setting.
Charging & Maintenance
Pure Vibes is powered by two AA batteries (not included). Analog units like this do not use rechargeable internal batteries, which means no charging cables, no proprietary ports, and no risk of the unit becoming unusable once a built-in battery degrades. Replace the batteries when the sensation weakens or the unit stops powering on. Keep a spare set nearby if you use the device frequently.
Clean the unit's exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge the control unit in water or use liquid cleaners directly on the surface—moisture can damage the internal electronics. The connectors and cables can be wiped down with isopropyl alcohol if needed, but ensure they're fully dry before use.
Accessories like pads, loops, and probes each have their own cleaning requirements. Adhesive pads lose stickiness over time and should be replaced when they no longer adhere securely. Conductive loops and internal probes can be washed with mild soap and water, then dried thoroughly. Check accessory-specific care instructions for details.
Store the unit in a dry place, away from extreme heat or humidity. Disconnect cables and accessories after each session—leaving them connected can create tension on the connectors and wear them out faster. If you notice any fraying, exposed wire, or damage to cables, replace them before your next session. Faulty cables can cause uneven current flow and reduce both safety and sensation quality.
