These aren't simple quick-release clips — they're real ratchet systems with classic police design: chrome finish, hinged link, and locking mechanism that works exactly like professional restraints. They create the tension that comes when control is genuinely handed over.

Lock Mechanism & Safety

The cuffs use a ratchet lock with teeth that click as you tighten the restraints around wrists. Once you reach the right tension, activate the double-lock by turning the key one extra rotation — this locks the ratchet system so the cuffs can neither tighten further nor loosen without the key. This is a crucial safety feature that prevents them from accidentally over-tightening during movement.

Two keys on a keyring are included. Keep one key within reach during use — never in a room you've left. You cannot open these cuffs without the key. Establish a clear agreement about when and how to stop play if the restrained person wants to end the scene.

How to Use

Place the cuffs around wrists and tighten by pressing the restraints closed until the ratchet teeth click. Don't over-tighten — you should be able to fit one finger between the metal and skin. When tension feels right, insert the key into the keyhole and turn one extra rotation to activate the double-lock. Now the cuffs can neither loosen nor tighten further.

Always test opening them with the key before using them in a scene. Practice on yourself first so you understand how much resistance the lock gives and how quickly you can release them. Store the second key outside the room as backup.

Combine with other restraints or furniture attachments if you want to limit mobility further. The hinges can be secured to hooks or D-rings.

Care

Wipe the cuffs with a damp cloth after use and dry immediately. Metal can oxidize if stored damp or exposed to water over time. Store the keys somewhere you always know where they are — not mixed with other keys where they might get lost. Check that the ratchet system clicks evenly before each use.
