BondX Cuffs
When you want to play with control without giving up safety. Red handcuffs with hinged cuffs that snap shut with a distinct click — a sound that marks a clear shift in the balance of power. The weight of the metal chain between wrists becomes a tangible reminder of who's in charge, while the red finish makes the game visible and intense.
Built for couples exploring bondage with a product that feels real — not toy plastic, but metal that sits substantial in your hand and resists when you test the limits.
Intensity level: Medium — real metal restraint with safety features for controlled play.
Lock Mechanism & Safety
Each cuff has a quick-release lever positioned on the side — a small metal tab that can be pressed for immediate opening, even with cuffs already on. This means the restrained person can always free themselves if needed, without reaching for the key or waiting for their partner.
Additionally, each cuff has its own keyed lock as standard. Two keys are included — use one during play and store the other in a known location outside the bedroom. If you lose both keys, the quick-release still works, but it's always smarter to know where the spare is.
The chain's lobster clasp lets you quickly detach or connect the cuffs depending on position and scenario. Not a true police-grade double-lock mechanism that prevents over-tightening — these are cylinder locks designed for play, not detention. They're easy to operate and, importantly, escapable even by someone with lockpicking knowledge. This is intentional: you're playing with control, not real captivity.
Comfort & Fit
Circular cuffs that sit firmly around wrists without cutting into skin. The hinged design means each cuff opens completely — no narrow gap to force your hand through, making them easy to put on and remove even for beginners.
The metal edge is smooth and even, but since there's no padding, you'll feel the metal against your skin. For shorter sessions this is rarely an issue, but during longer play or more intense pulling, the edge may start to rub. If you're planning extended bondage scenes, we recommend testing the fit first — a few minutes is enough to feel whether it sits comfortably or if you need something soft in between.
Fits most wrists — the circular shape and hinged construction provide some size flexibility, but if wrists are particularly narrow or wide, fit may vary.
Material & Finish
Made from metal with a matte powder-coated surface in red. The surface is smooth against skin and the colour holds up even with repeated use — no cheap spray paint that flakes after the first session.
Each lock mechanism is secured with double rivets, reinforcing the construction where most force is applied. The chain links are sturdy enough to resist pulling without stretching out, but not so heavy they become awkward to wear or move. The lobster clasp connecting the chain to the cuffs is robust and opens smoothly — nothing that snags when you want to quickly change position.
The lock mechanisms are simple cylinder locks — not security locks, meaning they're easy to use but also potentially openable by an experienced person without the key. This is a feature, not a flaw: you're playing with control, not actual imprisonment. Weighing 210 grams together, they feel substantial in hand but don't become heavy to wear during play.
How to Use
The cuffs work in several positions. With the chain attached, you can lock wrists in front of the body — comfortable for the restrained person, but still restrictive enough to feel the powerlessness. Detach the chain and place hands behind the back for a more vulnerable position where freedom of movement almost completely disappears.
The lobster clasp also lets you attach the chain to bedposts or other fixed points — the cuffs stay on wrists while the chain gives or limits range of motion.
Metal clinks. When you move, pull the chain, or test the locks, you'll hear a distinct metallic sound that amplifies the scenario. For some couples this is part of the experience — for others it may be distracting if you share living space.
Before locking, agree on a safe-word and make sure both partners know where the spare key is located. Test the quick-release levers before play starts so the restrained person knows exactly how much pressure is needed to activate them.
Care
Wipe the cuffs clean with a damp cloth after use — sweat and body oils can otherwise discolour the powder-coated surface over time. Dry immediately to avoid water marks or dullness in the finish.
If the lock mechanism becomes stiff after many uses, you can lightly lubricate it with a drop of silicone-free lubricating oil — never thick lotion or body oils that can clog the mechanism.
Store keys separately from the cuffs. A good principle: one key on the bedside table, one spare in a drawer in another room. If you lose both during play, the quick-release still works, but it's always better to avoid using it in panic.
Store dry in a box or pouch where they won't be knocked around — the lock mechanisms are robust, but not immune to hard impacts against other metal objects.
