What is the difference between water-based and silicone-based lubricant?

Water-based lubricants are compatible with all toy materials and condoms, and they wash off easily. They dry out faster and may need reapplication. Silicone-based lubricants last longer and feel silkier, but they should not be used with silicone toys as they degrade the material over time. For most people who use toys regularly, water-based is the safer default choice.

Can I use regular soap to clean my sex toys?

For non-porous toys made from glass, stainless steel, or hard ABS plastic, mild soap and warm water works fine. For silicone toys with motors or seams, a dedicated toy cleaner is safer, it sanitises without the risk of water getting into the electronics or soap residue affecting the material. Avoid antibacterial soaps with harsh chemicals on any toy surface.

Are arousal gels safe to use with condoms?

It depends on the formula. Water-based arousal gels are generally condom-compatible. Oil-based formulas are not safe with latex condoms as they degrade the material. Always check the product label for condom compatibility before use, and if you're unsure, contact the manufacturer or Mshop's customer service team for guidance.

Is intimate wash necessary or is regular shower gel fine?

Regular shower gel has a pH that's too high for intimate skin, which can disrupt the natural balance and cause irritation or recurring infections in some people.
